Introducing our new doctors:
Dr Daisy Dai and Dr Michael Clee.

Daisy graduated in China after completing a Bachelor degree in 1993 and a Master degree in Medicine in 1995 at the Shanghai Medical University. Before moving to Australia, Daisy specialised in Cardiology. In 1996 Daisy moved to Australia where she completed a bridging course at the University of NSW. Then Daisy went on to successfully pass the Australian Medical Council Exam and she has also passed the FRACP examination acknowledging her as a qualified Australian General Practitioner. She is also currently working at The Sutherland Hospital Emergency Department as a Career Medical Officer.
Daisy has a keen interest in accident and emergency medicine as well as paediatrics and women’s health. In her spare time Daisy enjoys stamp and coin collecting. Daisy speaks Mandarin and English and lives in Sydney with her husband and son.

Michael graduated from Sydney University in 1974. After his residency at Wollongong Hospital, he worked in his own general practice for 8 years. He then returned to the hospital system working in Accident, Emergency and Anaesthetics. He continued doing part time locums and some work in Sports Medicine and Occupational Medicine. He spent a year studying in Florence, Italy and has an interest in Italian language and culture.

We are very fortunate to have these doctors come to our practice bringing their recent education, insights and expertise to add to our team. They will appreciate being welcomed into our community.

Swine Flu

Swine influenza is derived from an animal influenza virus which means humans have little or no immunity. Symptoms are similar to normal influenza and include fever, cough, tiredness, muscle aches, sore throat, chills, shortness of breath, runny nose, headache. Some people also experience vomiting and diarrhoea, or severe pneumonia. Symptoms normally develop 2-4 days after exposure.

Immunisation is now available. Phone to book in for yours.

Whooping Cough

Whooping cough is still present in the high numbers in the state, but local exposure has been decreasing through the year. It infects people of all ages, not just children. Young infants, especially newborns are at significantly higher risk for complications. Immunisation is available free for parents & carers of newborns. Ask our staff for more details.

If you or your children are not immunised against whooping cough you are at significant risk and immunisation is recommended.

An information sheet on whooping cough can be found by clicking here.

If you have symptoms of whooping cough AND have been exposed to someone with the infection you need to be assessed promptly.

Please inform our staff if you have reason to think you have whooping cough so that infection control precautions can be made prior to your attending the surgery.

If you have any medical matters please contact us directly at the surgery or via telephone.

For emergencies dial either 000 or see the 'hours' page for further emergency services.
